RWW has a post up this afternoon ripping into a former Newsviner for turning nonsensical right-wing talking points into a sort of word salad of vile bullshit that would cause any normally functioning human being to exile themselves from society in order to prevent breeding and to protect the future of their own species:
Renew America's Sher Zieve appears to be taking "Poe's Law" to a whole new level. Zieve, who has wondered whether President Obama is a demon and the Beast of the Book of Revelation intent on starting a dictatorship by taking control of the media, writes today that Obama is bent on turning America "into full-fledged Marxist Communo-Fascist elitist-ruled Islamo-Drug cartel Narco/Nazi State":
Are you as tired as am I about the talking heads -- leftists, RINO and faux conservatives -- advising us on an almost daily basis that "If we don't stop it (presumably the government, Obama and maybe even Obama's sycophant Congress) we're heading for 'European-style Socialism.'" Ahhh...as if that were the only thing about which we have to worry. Of course, the truth is that the [former] USA is not heading for Euro-Socialism. Instead, it is careening at full speed -- with no discernable braking -- into full-fledged Marxist Communo-Fascist elitist-ruled Islamo-Drug cartel Narco/Nazi State -- replete with its own apparent and visible concentration camps. Said State has been meticulously planned over, at least, decades and is now being forcefully implemented against We-the-People who seem to have been replaced by "We-the-Sheeple."
Unhinged rants like this, which I wrote about a little over three years ago, are nothing new from Sher Zieve. I suspected then that Zieve and Warner Todd Huston were paid propagandists who sat around all day trying to poison the 2008 election election on behalf of secretive conservative groups hiding behind Heritage New Media Partners, a conservative PR firm that created the 501(c)(3) New Media Alliance that Zieve worked for.
These are not individuals who were writing political essays to share their beliefs and provoke debate. They were employees of a professional and well-connected conservative PR operation being paid to trash Democrats and fluff Republicans in the run-up to national elections.
The old story written by Zieve and published on Newsvine that prompted my "investigation" found that it had been syndicated verbatim on 17 other websites and various forums. Newsvine was never a home to these people and it wasn't surprising that after the 2008 election, they left and never came back.
It's equally unsurprising that they are still out there, spouting the most ridiculous and vile bullshit anyone can imagine to assassinate the character of liberal politicians. Not because they are stupid people who believe any of this, but because they were (and probably are still being) paid to write it on behalf of cowards on the right who don't have the balls to attach their own name to this crap. People who regularly fund these smear operations and would be recognized instantly as the source of most of it, which would result in all of it being rightfully ignored.
Attempting to refute it would be a complete waste of a sane person's time. They don't write to prove a point or inform people. This kind of insidious garbage only serves to poison the well. To inflame and upset people, preventing rational discussion of important issues like unemployment, income inequality, and increasingly partisan, non-governmental politicians who see the government as an opportunity to force their political agenda on people instead of just being good public servants. And there isn't anyone out there interested in defending it, anyway.
Again, that's not the point. You don't write this shit and then hang around to discuss it. You drop it like a dirty bomb and run like hell, because you can't defend it even if you wanted to, and because having people read it serves a purpose unto itself. Once the accusation is made, the debate becomes about the accusation. It doesn't matter if it's not true or unsupported by any facts. Everyone has the stink on them at that point.
What's striking about all of this is that people like Zieve aren't being paid to tell the truth or to convince people that conservative politicians are good people doing good things, that their ideas are the best ideas for the country. They are paid to muddy the water because their puppet masters honestly believe the GOP will benefit from that and are so convinced of this that they'll pay massive sums of money for it. Cynical doesn't even begin to describe that warped and diseased mentality.
